هستی، سرچشمه‌ای دارد؛
می‌توان آن را مادرِ جهان پنداشت.
آن‌کس که مادر را بیابد، جهانِ هست را می‌شناسد،
و آن‌کس که جهانِ هست را بشناسد،
مباد که سرچشمه را از یادببرد.
این راهِ آشتی‌ست؛
رازِ مانایی و گنجِ بی‌پایان.

چون به این گنج رسیدی، پاسش بدار و افزون‌خواهی مکن؛
دهان فروبند و درهایِ حواس را بسته دار،
تا فرسوده نگردی.
اگر درها را بگشایی،
گنج به تاراج رود و رَستن نتوانی.

بینشِ ژرف،
دیدنِ آفتاب در درونِ ذرّه است.
آن‌که نرم و مهربان می‌ماند،
پایدار و پرتوان است.
از نورِ درون و از پرتوِ سرشتِ بنیادین بهره‌مند باش،
تا گزندی به تو نرسد؛
این است پیروی از راهِ جاویدان.

The Fifty-Second Notebook

Being has a source;
it may be regarded as the Mother of the world.
Whoever finds the Mother knows the world of Being,
and whoever knows the world of Being,
let them not forget the Source.
This is the Way of reconciliation;
the secret of enduringness, and the inexhaustible treasure.

When you have reached this treasure, guard it and seek no excess;
close your mouth and keep the gates of the senses shut,
so that you do not become worn.
If you open the gates,
the treasure will be plundered,
and you will find no escape.

Deep insight
is seeing the sun within the smallest particle.
Whoever remains gentle and kind
is enduring and strong.
Draw upon the inner light and the radiance of Fundamental Nature,
so that no harm may befall you;
this is following the Eternal Way.
