باسرشتِ راستین،
سپاهیِ شایسته، جنگ‌ نمی‌فروزد؛
رزمنده‌ی شایسته، خشم نمی‌ورزد؛
پیروزِ شایسته، ستیزه نمی‌جوید؛
رهبرِ شایسته، فروتن می‌گردد.

این است؛ فرّهٔ ناستیزی؛
این است؛ هنر رهبریِ مردمان؛
این است؛ هماهنگی با آسمان؛
و همبستگی با سرشتِ آغازین.

With the Righteous Nature,
The worthy soldier does not desire war ;
The worthy fighter does not rage;
The worthy victor does not become contentious;
The worthy leader becomes humble.

This is the Glory of Non-Contention;
This is the art of leading the people;
This is harmony with Heaven;
And this is oneness with the Primal Nature.
