آن‌گاه که نفسِ بدکنش تهی گردد،
و سرشتِ بنیادین پُر،
انسانِ کامل، زاده می‌شود؛
با هستی یگانه،
با ریشه هم‌راه،
آرام و بی‌کنش،

نگاهش فراگیر می‌گردد،
و جاودانگی را درمی‌یابد.

جنبشِ آفریدگان،
از نیست به هست،
و از هست به نیست،
آشکار می‌شود.
بازگشت به اصل،
هویدا می‌گردد.

پس، به فرجام بیاندیش،
بر آن درنگ نما،
و بی‌کنش بمان.

دریاب که مرگِ کالبد، پایان نیست؛
و سرشتِ راستین، جاودانه است.
و آن‌که این راز نداند،
گرفتار بمانَد.

Notebook Sixteen
When the ill-acting self is emptied,
and the foundational nature is made full,
the Complete Human is born;

one with Being,
in accord with the Root,
serene and non-acting.

His vision becomes all-embracing,
and he comes to perceive Eternity.

The movement of beings—
from non-being into being,
and from being into non-being—
is revealed.

The return to the Origin
becomes manifest.

Therefore, contemplate the End;
abide in reflection upon it,
and remain in non-action.

Know that the death of the body is not the end;
and the true nature is everlasting.
But the one who knows not this mystery
remains bound.
