بر نیستی آگاه بودن،
و در هستی زیستن،
نواختِ جاویدِ زندگی است؛
تجلیِ سرشتِ بنیادین،
و بازگشت به بی‌گناهیِ کودکی.

جلوه‌های آفرینش را دانستن،
در «یِک» استوار ماندن است.

جلالِ مردانگی را شناختن،
در جمالِ زنانگی زیستن است.

نفسِ بدکنش را شناختن،
و در سرشتِ بی‌پیرایه زندگی کردن است.

بر فرازِ قله‌های پر برف،
در ژرفایِ تاریکِ درّه نفس کشیدن است؛
کنده‌ی ناتراشیده بودن،
پویا و زایا بودن.

Notebook Twenty-Eight
To be aware of Non-Being,
and to dwell within Being,
is the Eternal Harmony;
the manifestation of Fundamental Nature,
and a return to childhood.
To know the countless forms of creation,
and remain steadfast in the One,
is the way.
To know the majesty of the masculine,
and dwell in the grace of the feminine,
is the way.
To know the splendor of the ill-acting ego,
and live within the Uncarved Nature,
is the way.
To stand upon snow-crowned peaks,
and breathe within the dark depths of the valley;
this is to be
the Uncarved Block.
This is to be
vital and ever-creative.
