روزنِ دل گشوده شود؛

بی‌گام، جهان را درونِ خود بینی؛
بی‌ نگاه، راهِ آسمان را دریابی.

نادان در بیرون می‌جوید؛
و فرزانه در درون می‌یابد.

بی‌سفر، راه را شناسد؛
بی‌نگاه، نام را بداند؛
و بی‌کوشش، به فرجام رساند.

The Forty-Seventh Notebook

When Fundamental Nature begins to shine forth,
the window of the heart opens.

Without taking a step, you behold the world within yourself;
without looking, you perceive the Way of Heaven.

The ignorant seek outward;
the sage finds within.

Without journeying, he knows the Way;
without looking, he knows its name;
and without striving, he brings all things to completion.
